Our Story
DAV Media — Dreams Are Valid Media — was born in Cameroon from a conviction that Africa's filmmakers are among the most talented and visionary storytellers in the world, and that their work deserves to be seen far beyond its borders.
Founded in Yaoundé, we began with a small but powerful catalogue of Cameroonian films and a determination to build the distribution infrastructure that African cinema has always needed. Today, our catalogue spans drama, thriller, documentary, and more — representing voices from Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, the DRC, Burkina Faso, and beyond.
We do not just distribute films. We advocate for them. We negotiate the deals, manage the rights, connect filmmakers to broadcasters and streaming platforms, and ensure that every story in our catalogue gets the audience it deserves.
